Vodafone and Salvamont have launched the summer/fall edition of their #SigurPeMunte campaign in Romania. This initiative aims to promote mountain education by providing helpful recommendations from professionals to ensure a safe approach to mountain trails. It is part of Vodafone’s commitment to supporting Romania and its communities.

Vodafone has implemented an Artificial Intelligence application in Romania that can detect human cues in photos, making it the first country in Europe to have nationwide coverage for this technology. They have also developed a drone that can provide 4G/5G coverage in the mountains within seconds, supporting victims in distress, regardless of their network provider.

Since 2019, Vodafone has been a technology partner of Salvamont, actively involved in projects utilizing technology for mountain rescue operations. They have helped establish the National Mountain Rescue Dispatch and created the „Mountain Rescue” app, which provides tourists with detailed information about trail conditions throughout the country.
