Kaufland Romania received the Zero Waste certification, from TÜV SÜD Management Service, in accordance with the DIN SPEC 91436 standard, a new reference model for waste management and recyclable assets.

Kaufland is the first and, to date, the only company in Romania to obtain this certification, thus becoming one of the leaders of the transition to the circular economy, on a local level.

The certification indicates that at least 90% of all operational waste has been prevented, reused, recycled, composted or fermented.
