Banca Comercială Română (BCR) has announced that over 1 million Romanians have benefited from their free financial education programs, Money School and Financial Coaching. These programs have been running for 8 years and have reached communities, institutions, companies, and bank units. Scoala De Bani, launched in 2016, is the largest and most well-known financial education program in Romania.
Over 1,500 bank employees have voluntarily become specialized teachers, offering free financial education courses in BCR units, communities, schools, and online. The program has supported over 650,000 Romanians in developing a better relationship with money and making smart financial decisions. In addition to the courses, Money School also provides an online platform called ȘcoaladeBani.ro, offering free practical resources and tools for personal budget planning, financial mindfulness, and more.
Also, 400,000 Romanians have benefited from a personalised financial plan through Financial Coach. The financial coaching service offered by BCR is unique in Romania, being available free of charge, in all its units, to any interested person, regardless of whether they are a client of the bank or not.
